Just 6 Days to Barrica Ball…

Saturday, September 24th, 2011

Just one week to go now until the long awaited Barrica Ball at Farrington Lodge. I hope you are all as excited as me. I will be back from my Californian vineyard trip tomorrow night and then it is going to be Ball Ball Ball……!

I am determined that with your help we will raise as much money as possible for St Catherine’s Hospice and Rainbow House Legacy – our chosen charities – so there are lots of fun things planned.  In the mean time, make sure you all get plenty of rest this week, because on Friday night we are all going to have a BALL!

Offer of the week on 2 Toso Wines

Friday, September 16th, 2011

This week we have an excellent offer on two Toso Wines

Cortese – white wine at £5 per bottle!
Barbera – Red wine at £5 per bottle!

Both are classic grape varieties from Pied Monte in North West Italy

We have a limited number of these wines so when they are gone they are gone!
And at £5 per bottle each – they aren’t going to last very long!

Also I must appologise if you think you haven’t heard from me for some time we. We have been having a few technical problems with our mailing list. However everything is up and running again now so I will be emailing everyone soon.

But – in the mean time I am just on my way to the airport to visit the sunny vineyards of Carlifornia – YAHOOOOO!

Barrica

Barrica Wines Offer of the Week:

Tuesday, August 16th, 2011

Jean Bousquet Malbec from Argentina. A fantastic wine and one of our best selling reds at Barrica. Smooth and fruity with gentle tannins and a long finish – and it’s organic! Normally £9.95 – get into Barrica this week and buy it for £8.50 while stocks last – if you mention this blog!

Clitheroe Food Festival

We had a great day at Clitheroe Food Festival on Saturday – sold out of most wines – but had very sore feet by Saturday evening! It was lovely to meet new customers, but also to see some familiar and friendly faces and be able to catch up.

We recommended the wines for Paul Heathcoat’s 3 course meal demonstration – Distant Land Gewürztraminer 2007   (for starter), Domaine La Croix Belle No 7 Blanc 2008  (for main course) and Ritornello Brachetto    (for dessert). They went down extremely well and sold out during the Festival!

Looking forward to Lancashire Market this Saturday in Preston – let’s hope the elements are kind to us again! We’ll have more wines to taste and hopefully some interesting chat along the way.

Now on the second stage of our top secret mission – things are looking good and we’re really excited about it . I can’t wait to let the cat out of the bag – I really struggle keeping secrets – especially good ones like this one!

We’re confirming all the details this week for the Barrica Ball. Anyone interested in having a great night at Farington Lodge, and helping to raise funds for two very worthy charities, St Catherine’s Hospice and The Legacy Rainbow House? The get yourself a ticket and join us at our posh bash. Friday 30th September 7pm. Tickets are £50 each and include Champagne and canapés on arrival, four course dinner with wine, live entertainment and dancing until the small hours. Only a small number of tickets left, so contact us for details and don’t be left out!
