Shopping at Barrica in the Park
When the opportunity came along for Barrica Wines to make our new home at Astley Park, it really was an offer that was too good to resist. However, it soon became apparent this was far too big a home for Barrica Wines to occupy alone and that’s when Barrica in the Park was conceived.
So, if you’re wondering what to expect on a visit to Barrica in the Park, please read on!
With 450+ quality wines to choose from at Barrica in the Park (plenty of these under £10 per bottle), there should be something to suit almost all budgets. We carefully select the wines from mostly smaller vineyards, which offer you a much more diverse range of tastes and styles than you’d generally find in wines produced in higher volumes.
The beer selection at Barrica in the Park is really interesting and diverse. It features lots of beers brewed in here in the North West, as well from other parts of the UK, and many Continental choices too.
As well as the many traditional styles of beer, you’ll also find plenty of contemporary styles of craft beer too. Oh, and don’t worry if you’re a lager or cider drinker, there’s plenty of these to choose from too!
Although Gin still appears to be hitting most of the headlines when it comes to spirits (and we stock over 50 premium gin varieties), you’ll also find plenty of other spirit options at Barrica in the Park: Vodka, Whisky (blended and malt), Brandy, Rum, Tequila, Bourbon, to name just a handful.
Let’s not forget liqueurs, also. If you’re a cocktail fan, we keep a great stock of essentials for you, including: Triple Sec (Orange Liqueur), Maraschino (Cherry), Coffee, Crème de Cassis (Blackcurrant), Crème de Cacao (Chocolate). There’s also Vermouth (dry and sweet) and Bitters (orange and Angostura), and then sugar syrup and Grenadine
When it comes to food, you’ll find that we’ve collaborated with lots of fabulous, local food and drink producers!
You’ll find many of them already listed on our ‘partners’ page, although we’re still awaiting information from quite a few. However, we’ll have: Freshly baked goods (bread, cakes, pastries) – Cheeses – Jams and Chutneys – Desserts and Patisserie – Sauces – ‘Free From’ foods – Ice Cream – Chocolates – Tea and Coffee – Cordials – and more
Deciding what to call this part of our offering at Barrica in the Park has caused quite some debate.
Crafts-people, artisan crafts, creatives, art… Anyhow, ‘artistry and creatives’ is what we’ve decided on, but what they all are is very talented and skilled at what they do, and we know that you’ll love it when you see it.
Again, many of these creative businesses are already listed on our ‘partners’ page, but you’ll find more added very soon.
