Exciting Events at Barrica in the Park!

We’re excited to announce Barrica in the Park’s spring and summer events calendar for 2025! Join us in the heart of Chorley at our beautiful Astley Park location for a season packed with entertainment and activities.

From March 14th, we’ll be bringing back our popular Friday late openings (weather permitting) in the garden (until 7pm), perfect for after-work drinks and relaxing evenings with friends.

We’ve got a fantastic mix of both indoor and garden events planned, from wine tastings and craft workshops to live music and entertainment. Here’s what you can look forward to in the coming months:

March Events

Extended Garden Hours Begin

SambAfriq Performance

Our good friend James, all the way from the bustling city of Manchester, will be joining us to share his favourite wine must-haves. With a special nod to the upcoming (sshhh) festive season, this evening promises to be a treat for the taste buds. You’ll have the chance to try eight wonderful wines alongside generous and tasty nibbles. Plus, as an extra bonus, there will be a generous discount on wines ordered on the night.

Please come prepared for the weather, as the performance will be going ahead, rain or shine! If you’d like to bring a gazebo for shelter, you’re more than welcome to do so, but kindly notify us in advance. This Mother’s Day, why not treat your mum to something special and join us at Barrica in the Park? Summer entertainment at Barrica in the Park

We’re really thrilled to announce that our good friend, the wonderfully talented Stephen Bayliss will be returning for another performance at Barrica in the Park this August!

Sunday, August 7 - 1pm to 5pm

For those of you who didn’t catch Stephen when he performed at Barrica in the Park last year… Stephen Bayliss is a British Singer-Songwriter who’s been entertaining audiences for over three decades. With an unmistakable voice and charisma, he sets the gold standard in vocal performances. His colourful career has seen him entertain at thousands of events throughout the U.K. and Europe and has taken him around the world performing to International Audiences.

If you feel that you may need a little more convincing, just take a look at the video below. I’m sure you’ll agree, he is a first class performer and not to be missed!

Stephen will be performing two 45 minute sets, between 1pm and 5pm, and tickets are AVAILABLE NOW at just £10 per person – which includes a complimentary glass of fizz on arrival. Please be aware, places will only be reserved on receipt of payment.

PLEASE NOTE: This is an outdoor event and, therefore,  weather dependent. However, unless torrential rain and winds are forecast, the event will be going ahead – so please dress appropriately!

We do have some parasols over our tables, but do feel free to bring your own gazebo (hopefully to shelter from scorching sunshine), but NO SIDES ARE PERMITTED and please let us know if you intend to bring one. Also be aware that you will be responsible for erecting/dismantling your own gazebo, and they cannot be left overnight.

This was a really popular event last year, and it will undoubtedly sell out, so ticket availability will be on a first come, first served basis. No own food and drink will be allowed, but the Barrica in the Park bar will be open offering a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, which can be accompanied by our fabulous Graze Boxes – ordering these ahead is highly recommended

Christmas Tasting

It’s time to get those Christmas plans in place, so let’s make sure you enjoy the most fabulous food and drink this festive season!

Needless to say, when it comes to top quality booze, Barrica in the Park has you covered, and our annual Christmas Tasting is the perfect way to line up your top festive tipples.

This year, we have four of our wonderful suppliers joining us with over 60 wines available for you to taste (perhaps don’t try them all though), not to mention a great selection of quality beers and top spirits. So, come along and TRY BEFORE YOU BUY at the Barrica in the Park Christmas Tasting 🙂

Ooh, I should also mention, to accompany all of this boozy sampling, we will be providing some fabulous, Christmassy themed nibbles lovingly created by The Bees Country Kitchen:

• Cuckoo gin cured salmon little gem boat with lemon crème fraiche

Roxanne Eloise at Barrica in the Park

This August Bank Holiday Sunday (August 29th), we’re thrilled to be welcoming the fabulous, Roxanne Eloise to Barrica in the Park.

Roxanne Eloise has a wonderfully versatile voice and performs a whole range of styles, from blues and jazz, to chart music, and also nicely suits powerful rock and roll. She has performed at events across the country, ranging from music festivals to weddings and everything in between. She can bring a touch of sparkle to any event with her unique style and bubbly personality.

She will most certainly get you dancing.

Roxanne Eloise will be performing two 45 minute sessions, at 2pm and 3.30pm (both sessions will be different and your ticket is valid for both performances). Tickets are £30 (maximum 6 per table).
